Why Should You Apply To Our Internship?​
Bay Valley Tech’s internships are highly effective in helping aspiring professionals launch their tech careers. Most interns receive job offers during or shortly after the completion of one or two internships. Interns must be enrolled in our tuition-free Code Academy or Digital Skills Bootcamp.
Our Internship Application Process Is As Follows:
Step 1:
Complete and submit the online application below.

Step 2:
You will immediately receive a Bay Valley Tech Internship welcome email with instructions on how to complete your prerequisite online lessons and attend our weekly new applicant informational and study sessions.

Step 3:
If you are a new applicant with Bay Valley Tech and have not already enrolled in or completed our free Digital Skills Bootcamp or Code Academy training, YOU MUST BE CURRENTLY OR HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED for either our Digital Skills Bootcamp or Code Academy to be eligible for any of our internships. Step 4:
Complete your prerequisite lessons and attend at least two study sessions (Details outlined in your welcome email).

Step 5:
Once you have completed Step 4, you may receive an informational interview form from Bay Valley Tech’s admissions committee that you must complete.

Step 6:
Once all previous steps are completed, if you are considered for our program, you will be required to sign the Bay Valley Tech Student Agreement and your free training may begin.

Step 7:
Once you have completed your training, or have made sufficient progress, you may then be selected for the internship program.

How Can a Bay Valley Tech Internship Help You?

To help our students enhance their skills and become more hirable to employers, Bay Valley Tech offers internship opportunities to eligible students. These internships are for Bay Valley Tech students who have completed the 7-month Code Academy program or the 4-6 month Digital Skills Bootcamp training. Additionally, students who have completed similar web development and digital skills training from outside the Bay Valley Tech community are also welcome to apply for an internship.

Bay Valley Tech offers both paid and unpaid internships.

When do the internships start?

Bay Valley Tech receives thousands of applicants annually, so apply today while internship openings are still available. BVT offers revolving admissions every 8-10 weeks due to the high applicant volume.

How long does the internship program last?

Depending on if you are accepted into an internship, the program can last between 3 to 7 months. Interns are also required to be enrolled in our Digital Skills or Code Academy training programs.

What will I receive when I complete the internship program?

BVT strives to provide valuable hands-on experience to make you a more hireable candidate for employers. We provide connections to local companies within the tech industry that allow our interns to network and connect with industry employers.

To be eligible for our internship program, you need to be either a current student at BVT, located in Merced County, or in the process of registering as a student there.
We are focused on providing these internships to individuals from Central and Northern California at this time.
Portions of this program, contracted from Stanislaus County Workforce Development, are funded by Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds and are available to those who qualify. Bay Valley Tech internships are designed by tech hiring managers and provide an opportunity for students to be mentored by industry professionals. Bay Valley Tech alumni work in a broad range of industries including technology consulting, healthcare, agtech, consumer packaged goods, govtech (technology solutions for the government), and fintech.

Our hands-on, projects-based program trains hundreds of interns annually for roles in software development, graphic design, digital marketing, project management, technology sales, and more.
